Permissions issue - no USB connection. Anything I can do?

Hey guys, ased this is osm0sis's thread and he advised me to post here - copy paste incoming with link to original post and screenshot included to show what dirs look like. Issue:

Hey guys - hoping there may be a script or something that can be done to fix my Nexus 6 nightmare. I totally messed perms up for /root dirs in recovery - tried both the perm fix zip from here and TWRP fix perms, no luck. Nandroid no luck either. I literally cannot wipe internal - no USB connectivity, Qi charger is all I can use. Is there absolutely any script or anything that can be done to fix my Shamu? SS attached to show a few dirs. I'd be more than appreciative of any help - desperate here, not gonna lie.

Update path to 124 with root and TWRP

Hi guys,

Looking for a little advice - I'm currently on build EU1.1.87a and recieved the notification for 1.1.124b and I'd like to update. I'm currently rooted and using TWRP recovery. I'm running Xposed with a few tweaks - gravity box mainly. What's the best upgrade path for me? I'm reluctant to wipe again, I've only just got things set up again nicely after the rooting process.

Can't Change APN Settings

Hi everyone,

I recently gave my girlfriend my old Droid MAXX, which she converted from Verizon to Straight Talk. Texting and calling works fine, but she is unable to use the internet unless she's on WiFi. I've been digging around all day and I'm really struggling with fixing the issue. A lot of sources are saying that you need to change the APN settings after replacing the sim card, but it seems that we are unable to do that. The only option we get under "Access Point Names" is to "Restore to Default". We can look at the current default ones, but can only change the name. Does anyone know what we need to do in this situation?

Custom Recovery Oukitel U7 pro (DDR3 Model)

Hello at all,

I want to get TWRP custom Recovery on my Oukitel U7 Pro. I searched the Net for some instructions to get twrp on MTK-Based phones, but the SoC (MT6580) in my oukitel u7 pro isnt supported by the known tools.
(Basicly ADB is needed, but these Tools dont recognize the Phone even if all drivers etc. are set properly up.
The only way to push/pull some data to/from the phone is a flashtool (SP Flash))

In this thread is an instruction how to Root and get TWRP, but it is for the Oukitel U7 pro with ddr2:

Mine has ddr3, so this doesnt work for me because ddr2-roms and ddr3-roms are not compatible with each other.

In the thread mentioned above, the op had a ready to flash TWRP recovery.img (probably from a russian Website) so there must be a way to implement TWRP on phones with MT6580 SoCs.

My question is:
Who ever created this recovery.img, what is a possible way how he did it. Can you point me a direction so I can try to create a TWRP recovery.img which is working for Oukitel U7 pro with ddr3.

Boy my Moto Z Force really wants to be the first one in the world to break

So first my power button wants to stop working, I "fixed" that issue and now that's perfectly fine,

But now, yesterday, literally my phone was sitting perfectly fine, on my desk connected to my computer using PDANet+ to tether its net. I use Speedify to combine both my net speeds to get one better, more stable speed (Crappy dorm room net data cap x 2)

After some hours of doing some homework, I attempted to take my phone off the USB connection, and when I unplugged it, I heard the disconnect sound, but my screen didn't come on, I tried to unlock it, nothing. Power button, finger print sensor, literally nothing worked. Connecting it back to my PC and other PCs showed XT1650 and ADB Interface in both my computers, so clearly it was working fine, but for some reason, it just wouldn't work. I prayed that the display from the inside didn't get disconnected somehow(As I've seen in two drop tests so far), and just let it die over night. Woke up, connected it to charger, and the screen powered on just fine showing that it was dead and its now charging.

Like..what. How. Why.

It literally had no reason to freeze like that and now it works perfectly fine as if nothing happened. Why does this device continue to scare the **** out of me?

I still love it to death though, great phone.

I'm currently browsing in Qatar and keep seeing N930X as the model number for the displayed Note 7s in various different shops - Is this the Middle-East regional variant or is the "X" part of model number just used for display handsets??

system file access through file explorer on w10m

When microsoft started releasing insider builds we were able to access system file through the file explorer even without interop capabilities just a trick using telegram so i'm wondering if their a tweak now using the interop to re-enable that again??

Help with Recovering Text Messages from AT&T Messages into Stock SMS App

To anyone who has any ideas that might fix this situation:

I updated my wife's AT&T Galaxy S5 to the Marshmallow latest OTA, and the phone decided to do an entire new reset (which has never occurred before when updating). We lost all of the data on the phone. And I understand that you can't just miraculously recover data from nowhere. But we found that her texts were somewhat recoverable from AT&T Messages, despite the fact she's always used the Stock SMS app.

The problem I'm having now is: how do I get the texts that are in the AT&T Messages app to transfer/show up in the Stock SMS App.

Any and all help is most thoroughly and most gratefully appreciated.

Galaxy S5 Sim Unlock?

OK, so I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 from an friend of mine, and found out that it was from a different carrier than my phone before this one, (which I still have and could use if this can't be fixed) the S5 is from AT&T, and I usuall do Virgin Mobile. I know that when I put in my old SIM card it will ask me for a SIM key, which I do not have. My question is, is there a way to get the SIM key, or do I have to have access to my friend's AT&T account in order to get it? People say I have to call my carrier to get the key, but I'm not sure if that is how it works. Thank you in advance. :)

I installed GPE Android 5.1 in my cellphone. Everything works perfect. The problem is wih one specific app.

The GPS signal works perfect with Google Maps and with Street View but when I open Pokemon GO the GPS LOCATION does not work.

This might not be a major problem for other people but i really need to solve it.

I trully appreciate any kind of help and Im really fascinated by the work that you guys do.

Let me know if I need to provide more information, since Im a newbee I dont know.

Is that only me who has internet connection of 5mbps without anydrops but my oneplus one still manages to have a surprising buffer for about 1 to 2 mins . all of my other games and browser streaming works pretty good plz helpe out. This just started last week ago .

Recovery is not seandroid enforcing

I just tried to root my tab s2(t815y) using cf-autoroot method.
After the process was completed, it rebooted into a frozen state showing "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
I can't boot into either recovery or download mode nor can I turn off the tab.
I have tried everything but, i endup on the same page.

Any help?

LG G3 AT&T D850 SiGNAL RECEPTION ISSUES

Hello everyone! I've bought a used LG G3 D850 AT&T version. The problem is that whenever I'm inside any building or where the signal reception is low, the phone would simply give the "Emergency Calls only" notification. I've checked my sim card, my mobile network settings etc. but to no avail. Often when somebody tries to call at my number the operator says the dialed number is powered off whereas I'm getting full signal! This is so frustrating, I'd be glad if someone can help me here!

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (G935F) root problem

Hello!! I think i hit a wall. I just purchased s7 Edge and i can't root it. I've rooted all my phones before with Odin and Twrp Recovery etc.
When i try flashing TWRP it says recovery is not seadroid enforcing and doesn't go on recovery mode. I tried flashing cwm with odin and i had the bootloader exception problem. I tried Cf auto root and it pops recovery is not seadroid enforcing again. I switched oem unlock and usb debugging. I can't seem to find the problem :/ i would apreciate your help. BTW after all i just flashed stock firmware.

Flashe wrong bootloader using zfstk, now it only loads fastboot screen

Hi,

My brother got a USB-logo on his phone and I flashed a new bootloader using XFSTK, but I noticed he got a ZE550ML and not the ZE551ML that I flashed on his phone. Now the phone is stuck on fastboot screen. I got it to load the USB-logo screen one time, and flash it with the correct ZE550ML bootloader files, but it still shows wrong model and wrong serial number.

Does anyone have a solution to fix it?

Zenfone Marshmallow Update Issues

Our zenfone has become more unstable to those who updated to Marshmallow (like me). There are many issues like the gallery thumbnails won't show up and some apps aren't working correctly like the camera app and other applications. I've been searching for a solution. There are many people who have the same issue and until now, it has never been fixed. I've read multiple forums and fixes but it does'nt seem to work. I've tried all the solutions they suggested like: Factory reset and wipe cache the device, clear the app data, update the app and backup the files to computer and move again to my device. Not only my device (ZE550KL) is experiencing this problem but it is the same with othe devices like Zenfone 5, Zenfone Selfie, and Zenfone Max. I hope asus will fix this problem.

To those who have issues on their device after the update, please post it here so that we will try to ask for help and find a solution for that particular problem.

Lucky Patcher not working on my Note 7

I have a rooted SM-N930F, but can't have Lucky Patcher working on the phone.

I have installed 6.2.6 version of Lucky Patcher, but it just freezes when granting permissions, and doesn't let me go home, or go back, or even increasing or decreasing volume and turning off the screen; the only thing I can do is to restart the phone with Power + Volume buttons combination.

Does anyone else is having troubles with it?

Recovery mode just loops (ASUS ZE551ML)

Hello, I have a problem with my ASUS Z00AD.

Problem: I want to flash my phone back to a stock ROM but when I enter recovery mode it just restarts the bootloader. :(
What I think the cause of the problem is: I tried to use TWRP without root. I have already rooted my phone before but unrooted it because of a system update.

My phone works everything fine except this bootloader.

Will a HDD slow down my AOSP builds?

Hi!

I just recently decided to switch my AOSP build server because my old one was getting way too slow at building AOSP (it would take around 3~4 hours to build 6.0.1 with ccache). I upgraded from this:
Intel Core I3 2350M (4 cores, 4 threads)
8GB RAM
5400RPM HDD

To this:
Intel Core I7 6700HQ (4 cores, 8 threads)
16GB DDR4 RAM
5400RPM HDD

Unfortunately, after trying to freshly build CM13 for the oneplus one on my new system, it STILL took 3~4 hours to complete and I feel like this 5400RPM drive is completely bottlenecking my CPU. I wasn't hoping for any miracles to happen but I was aiming for a build time of around 1 hour...

Is this drive really destroying my CPU's performance?

Trying to restore Twrp with Linux PC. Stuck in download mode.

I flashed a rom last night, but it froze before it was complete. The problem is I flashed a firmware zip that included stock recovery. I'm now stuck in download mode or stock recovery. I have backups that I can restore, but I'm unable to get heimdall to restore twrp recovery.
The phone is detected. I found a Pit file KLTE_USA_VZW.Pit I did not check the repartition check box.

The error I receive is:
ERROR: Failed to send request to end PIT file transfer!
ERROR: Failed to download PIT file!
Ending session...
ERROR: Failed to send end session packet!

Help with newly aquired Thinkpad (I have no idea what I have)

So at work we had this extra old tablet no one wanted, and I was told I could have it... I tried to look for a FAQ or All-in-1 guide but it appears to have been deleted by the OP.

Problem is I don't even know what I have... Is it a K1 or Yoga or what? I am no slouch in the Android area, but this device is confusing, was hoping someone could guide me a little.

In About Tablet it says:

Help for a laggy phone

What do you suggest to fix the lag in this phone? I updated my wife and daughter from a S3 to a S5, but honestly I can't say that this phone performs any quicker than the S3 did. I've rooted the phones and Titanium'd some bloatware but I'm still and ends for getting this phone to respond quickly to actions. Bringing up the camera is slow. Sometimes just getting it to respond to a touch takes several seconds.

I don't want to get anything quirky that my wife won't understand, but I'm frustrated watching her trying to get it to respond quicker. Should I be rebooting it daily? Is there something running that should be deleted? Should I just go to another firmware? Should I get another phone?

S7 Snapdragon on AT&T? International Exynos Ulocked? Help please!

Hi - several months ago I read a lot about choosing between Exynos (intnl through Best Buy) and Snapdragon/AT&T.

It seemed there were a few tradeoffs to consider.

First and foremost people said the Exynos performance and battery life were better, but then once the Exynos phones received a software update around May they started exhibiting the battery drain issue that seemed to be plaguing Snapdragon phones. So much so that numerous people were recommending flashing back to a previous update version to avoid the battery drain bug. Reading through the forums I havent been able to figure out whether these problems have been sorted out and corrected on either phone?

I also recall that the international version did not have ability to use Samsung Pay in the US? I cant understand based on the threads I have read whether this is now in fact possible?

I Have also read varying things on the data performance on AT&T networks of the international version. It seems people have concluded that certain functions may not work but that generally 4G LTE speeds and network reception should be the same.

Is this a good summary? I would love any thoughts or advice on deciding between these two models.

OnePlus 2 Error!

Hey I've installed Hydrogen OS On My OP2.
All Went Well The ROM worked Well, but the problem I'm facing is that, I can't boot into my TWRP Recovery.
When I press the button combination for recovery, The screen gets stuck showing the oneplus logo with powered by android.
As well as when i try to update the ROM via OTA, the same thing happens.
Any Help Please?
I want to get back to Oxygen OS!

Marshmallow ROM for Sony Xperia Z1C that works without major problems

Hi,

I have Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (D5503) and I would like to update it to Android 6. I found out that there is no official Android 6 upgrade for Z1C and that there is no official CyanogenMod 13 for his device either.

I found this thread with several ROMs and I would like to ask for help with choosing which of them to try flashing. Which of them are currently working smoothly and without troubles with camera, wifi, sim, etc.? Is there a ROM that is currently running without any known issues at all?

I'm using a more update firmware and I have tried a lot of modems (CP). I dont know what do do and im desperate because dont have money to pay technical assistance right now.
I'm trying to fix my phone about 3 days now.
He suddenly stopped work and after some hard trys it starts to charge again. But unfortunately got stuck on start up. He's boot looping and then Odin is showing this error(while in download mode, of course).
Also when I try to hard reset, show a 'Manual mode' but dont show the options to click and then back to the looping.

Used ADB to unlock bootloader but now ADB can't "see" the phone in download mode

I have a Windows 7 PC and I used that with Android SDK to unlock the bootloader and that worked. Now (trying to install recovery) I can put the phone (5.1.1) in download mode and the PC registers the phone in Device Manager but ADB doesn't see it. I've changed nothing with the PC since unlocking the bootloader and I've confirmed USB debugging is enabled on the phone but the command 'adb devices' lists nothing below 'List of Devices Attached'. Has anyone heard of this? Any troubleshooting suggestions?

[HELP!] Moto X stuck in boot loop!

My Moto X 1st Gen (XT1052, Locked bootloader, default Lollipop 5.1.1) went dead out of nowhere. I noticed that my WhatsApp was FCing every few minutes. I ignored it, but the phone just went dead. When i pressed and held the power button, the phone went into a boot loop. I can access the recovery menu but it does not go into any of the options, just goes back to bootloop after selecting any option.
Also, i notice that the screen flashes for about half a second, every 20 secs and i can see the Android bot lying on its back with the Red exclamation and 'No command' text below it.
What's the solution to this?

need some Help with GT-S5830 regarding changing the theme

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum so excuse me if this isn't the right section to post my problem.

so I tried to change the theme of my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 after I install a custom ROM in it, so I installed ROM toolbox Lite and I tried to change the phone's theme from there but it didn't work, after that I searched for some apps (I thought that my phone needed those apps to apply the themes from ROM Toolbox Lite) apps like : Theme chooser ,Theme changer, Theme manager and I kept rebooting each time I installed a theme thinking that what must be done so my phone can load it. but nothing changed, so after some searching on google I found a topic in this forum that has some APK files to choose from to change the phone's theme and it must replace Touchwiz30.apk in the System/app directory and give it the permission to write , read and read but I didn't find it with that exact name ,in my case it was called TouchSpaceWiz50.apk so I deleted it and went and tried to replace it with the one I've downloaded except I couldn't give it the permission and I got an error message that says I can't change some system files permissions.

so I ended up without the file TouchSpaceWiz50.apk in my System/app directory not to mention that I wasn't able to go to the home screen.
so I turned off the phone and on again only to find out that the phone is frozen on the boot animation screen, it doesn't keep rebooting just stuck at the boot animation that keeps playing.
I was able to fix this problem by re-installing the custom ROM from my SD-Card. but the main questions is why I wasn't able to change the theme via ROM Toolbox Lite when I have a custom Rom that includes ThemeChooser? and why the other apps didn't work as well? and is there another way to install themes? because I wasn't able to find any. and thanks in advance. :)

Are reports of battery drain after rooting real??

My s7 is arriving today and I was all set to root. But I keep reading posts about how the phone becomes super laggy with all types of battery drain.

I guess I'm trying to gauge if that's a real issue or people just overreacting.

If anyone can share their findings and thoughts I'd appreciate it.

[Question] Best Practise to make a profile based on more than one variable state?

I would like to change my audio profiles based on different situations:

Audioprofile Normal
Normal audiosettings at daytime, when car is not connected and no meeting in calendar.

Audioprofile Night.
Silent audiosettings at nighttime, but only when I'm at home and car is not connected.

Audioprofile Car
Audioprofile in car when connected to bluetooth. Overwrites every other audioprofile.

Audioprofile Silent
Audioprofiles for meetings and special locations.

Every state has his own variable, like the daytime, the bluetooth connection, my location etc..
So I tought I could combine the variable states in a profile with "Variable Value" and the operator AND:

"Audio@Meeting"
Variable Value
%Day=1
AND
%Meeting=1
AND
%Car=0
Enter Task=Audioprofile Silent

But I read this in the Tasker Wiki:

Warning: if you want to trigger on a variable and then take some action which sets the thing the variable represents you should use the Variable Set event instead. A Variable Value state will cause complications when the state exits and tries to restore the value again.
...

With "Variable Set" I can only query the value of one variable. That's not enough for my profiles.
How could I do this? Is the warning still valid?

Does anyone feel left out on the android nougat update? Also info on battery saving!

Idk about you guys but I think that huawei won't care enough to update our device to 7.0 Given how things are going I'm speculating exactly that. And I wanted to know what are your thoughts on this. Also not sponsored XD but if anyone is searching for a case, get a "head" case from ebay (they feel super nice and the buttons respond so well). I may add a photo and I know the case is off topic but I'm trying to cover a few things and help out if someone is still struggling with that. Also if you feel that you device is a power hog then just unprotect a few apps from settings (that seems to work best). But you should probably go to smart and if possible stop wakelocks with Xposed if you have it installed (if you don't knw what that is then kindly look around the threads if you want to install it or not).

How to reinstall stock rom!?

Hello
I unlocked my bootloader, then installed CWM, rooted then installed unofficial EMUI 4 ROM.
But I was EMUI 3.1 before...
So my Honor 6 didn't work after that and never couldn't boot the ROM
When I try to install CWM again by Multi-Tool, flashing error says that I need to check the confirmation dialog on my device but I cant't access to my device because there is no ROM :|
I installed EMUI 4 stock recovery and now what can I do for reinstall the rom -_- :(
Is there any way at all?

i've notice my phone speaker (especially when play games)
randomly the top speaker stop working or become really quite
it happen when i playing alot, or if the the device become hot sometimes
if i hit the device near the speaker or shake abit, its working again, and then again it can happen every 10 sec or every 20mins .. its not firmware i'v got this in 3 latest firmwares5.1.1 , 6.0 ,6.0.1 and different apps

No signal or emergency calls only After upgrading or flashing ROM LG G4

Hi all,
I bought an LG G4 from Aliexpress Two months Ago, I think it's an LG G4 H815T (hong kong version) It was working perfectly until I decided to upgrade the firmware (to android 6) with LG bridge and since I made this action, I could not get signal on the phone (most of the time) and some times I get full bar signal but only emergency calls are allowed.
I tried also to downgrade to android 5 again but with no succes (I tried all possible roms and for all variants)
the strange thing is that the phone was working quite good so I'm sure that it's not a hardware problem.

Can any one please tell How can I fix that?

archos 50C helium, 50 Diamond, L-ite 500 no more GPS since play store updated 6.8.22

Hi all,
I also have "No" GPS problem when Play store is updated (my smartphone an archos helium, and the issue concern 50 Diamond, L-ite 500 (all on android 4.4.4)).

After spending over a month with factory reset / reinstalls to try to get the GPS working, I finally did a minimal install of just the basic apps I needed by downloading & installing apk's directly, and more importantly deactivated all the apps I did not need including Google Play Store and Google Play services.
GPS gets a fix and works perfectly, even inside building. I've been using this configuration for about 2 weeks to today.

Today, I enabled Google Play Services and Google Play Store (which auto updated itself to 6.9. .... when I tapped on the version number which was 4.8.... in settings), .... and when I switched on the GPS (Location) ..... the issue was back => NO GPS FIX.

Disabling Google Play Services and Google Play Store ... and GPS works perfectly again gets a fix in a few seconds.

Whatever Google has done has generated a major GPS problem for users - Google should provide a fix immediately to users or restore their apk versions to the last correctly functioning versions.

this issue is posed on google's dev's forum for 1 mounth but it seem there is not enought vote to make google work on this issue, or nless to restore to previous version. this is very embarassing because I have bought a new smartphone for nothing (the older was not broken at all) and I am not alone to do that.

What is making my S6 overheat?

Hi,

I've had my S6 (SM-G920m) for a little over a year. I've had problems with it overheating, to the point that the camera won't work (it comes up with an error message) and the screen brightness flickers. It's also becoming increasingly laggy, which I'm putting down to overheating too. I've factory reset the phone and stopped using Nova Launcher, using Google Now instead, but it's made no difference.

In case it helps, I've copied a list of apps on my phone below- I regularly close all apps so only a few will be running at a time. The only reason for the overheating I can think of is that I keep my phone in a sturdy Otterbox case (the Strada) - could this be the problem?

[Q] Why Can't I theme the widgets?

On my Old LG G2 running 5.0.1 (It was the Korean variant), I was able to theme my widgets on LG Home (Weather, Music, etc).
Yet on my G4 running 6.0, I can't.

Best optimized CM13 rom?

I was just curious to know what the favorite was for the multiple CM13 rom rebuilds that are more stable than what CM has up since the releases from CM themselves are said to be buggy and cause problems and may not even boot. I've just saw multiple threads for the CM13 rom optimized from a few different developers and can't decide which would be best so if you would just leave a reply with your preference :confused: :D

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G9350 HELP!!!

I just bought a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, it has the dual sim slots and is the SM-G9350 model. Now, the person who sold it to me said it works on Verizon, and everywhere I search it says it should be compatible. But when I put my Verizon SIM card in, which is already activated, it isn't saying I have service. It recognizes there is a SIM and that it is Verizon, but it says like cellular network unavailable. Am I doing something wrong? I've never bought a factory unlocked phone, I know nothing about it, like where is it from? How does it work? It doesn't even have samsung keyboard or anything. Please help!!!

Very low in call volume

I'm going to try to explain this as thoroughly as possible.

So I have been having this issue with every single 7.0 preview and now it has followed me into the actual 7.0 release. My in call speaker phone and regular volume is very low. I have no idea why this is. The headphones sound is fine, playing music through the speakers is fine, it is just whenever I get into a call that the volume drops. It is very hard to hear the other person. The other person can hear me easily, however. This issue never appeared while I was on Marshmallow, only exists on Nougat. I am rooted, so I do have the ability to do whatever root fix exists, although I have tried a few, including editing the mixer paths.xml.

Anyone also have this issue and have a fix or anything related to it? I REALLY don't want to roll back to Marshmallow if I can help it.

CHOETECH Type-C Wireless Charger Review

So I finally got around to reviewing the CHOETECH USB-C Fast Wireless Charging Pad. Right off the back I rate this charger a 9/10. The box it arrives in a generic with the picture on the front and model number( my model number is T811C-S). Inside the box you get a type-c cable and the charging pad, no charging adapter is included in the $24 package. First thing I noticed was the quality of the unit, the device feels solid with plenty of rubber tabs to reduce skidding. The cord is a standard CHOETECH style cord which has always been quality in my opinion. I'm using the pad on my Note 7 oem adapter and the phone shows fast charging. I've only had the unit for two days so I can't say if it charges as fast as the included Note 7 wall charger, whoever I can confirm it fast charges and does a much better job than my old wireless chargers. The charging pad is about the size of your palm and the note 7 makes wireless contact pretty much anyway I put it down on the charger. It may sound very easy and simplistic but as soon as the pressure is on from your thirst meter draining (because you're in a hot desert) you must jump forward fast enough to collect water canteens.

It has a pretty unique feeling to it I haven't really seen in any casual games. I think it's a ton of fun and I urge you all to give it a quick try before dismissing it.

If you find the gameplay fun, there's a whole lot of content to keep you busy, over 40 missions to do each round, 40+ achievements, over 30 different hats you can equip that give you special abilities. 8 different characters including some just for the luls like a Velociraptor and a whale. (Surprisingly the whale is not so good at jumping.)

There's different areas you eventually reach which have different challenges. For example in the cave the Thirst bar is replaced by a torchlight bar and your light radius slowly shrinks if you can't collect torches. Different hats give you different powerups, and the miners hat seen above makes your light radius in the cave much brighter.

The tuque makes everything freeze for a little while, turning the cacti into harmless snowmen.

YouTube App not playing videos

YouTube App is perfectly working, but Video is not playing in the App.
YouTube in browser is perfectly streaming fast, but not in App.
The Video is not even starting in YouTube App, but MX player is perfectly playing videos.
On playing a Video, it says that "There was a problem while playing, Tap to retry".
On tapping it constantly say the same.

I tried restarting, reinstalling. May I know what may be the reason for this problem...

Question about Decrypted Data

i recently decrypted my 5x via fasboot. before i decrypted, i ran a backup with twrp (system, boot, data), which means i am still encrypted in the process, then rebooted in bootloader to decrypt. after it was decrypted, i restored the data from twrp. the question is wouldnt the data that was restored be encrypted? because before i decrypted, the data is encrypted. :confused: :confused:

Has anyone been able to flash a Note 7 Rom port from one of the other snapdragon Note 4's (for example G/F variants)? I've been able to flash a Note5/S7 Rom (F variant) succesfully w/ data on the sprint network, though I haven't been able to get data on any Note 7 Port roms :p

Help with LGH440n

I have go a Lgh440n spirit it was on the 3 network uk but couldn't afford to pay my bill because lost my job anyway I think they have blacklist my iemi or something ? it will not connect to any networks with other simcards ? when I try 2945#*440# any part of the menu it says (this phone is permanently locked and can not be unlocked ) it would be great if someone can help fix it and how do I get the phone to enter diag mode ??

I made a modified version of Samsung's Good Lock for my Galaxy S6 ROM. But I decided to provide it as broken-out apk files and TWRP-flashable zip, so that it can be used by anyone being in charge of a Good-Lock-compatible device and ROM.

So what's different compared to original Good Lock?

lockscreen issue/ wake lag/ unlock black screen/ incoming call black screen(solution)

i bought a htc m7 few days back . i did not not use it on kitkat i just updated it to lollipop then i started to notice as soon as i hit power button it would not unlock immediately only the back and home button would lit on and it takes a while to display to light on, sometime it just would not lit.and when someone called me there was nothing on the screen.. i became frustrated i searched but found nothing.. only few threads on xda.. but atlast i found the solution

Solution : Just put a colorful bright wallpaper in your lockscreen and homescreen avoid black wallpaper (optional : crank up your brightness or disable auto brightness) this simple solution put an end to my frustration.. press thanks if i helped :)

Please help!!!!

Hello.

About a month ago suddenly my service connection dissapeared.a pic
The Phone reads the sim card and sees it (I don't have the "insert sim card" issue) but it's always searching a service/connection without finding it.
It gives me an Error in finding a network a pic
I thought its the sim card or something and I put the sim card in another phone and it worked (so the problem is in the phone itself).
I've tried to fix it in a many different ways and i didn't succeeded. I rooted and put a rom on itand it didnt work so I unrooted it. also i replaced the anthena.
i went into a store that could fix it. The phone was there for two weeks and they couldn't fix it!
I went to another store and without checking they talled me that this is a cpu problem (I doubt about it) and it cant be fixed.

PLEASE HELP
YOURE THE ONLY HOPE NOW!!!

Can't get MM-based roms to work (LL-based roms run fine)

So I've been trying to update my Shield LTE ROW since this Friday from the stock based rom LL (version 3.1.1) to the MM-based rom (version 4.2) and spend a dozen of hours failing to update :crying:

When I install a MM-based rom the shield boots and the nvidia logo shows a few seconds and then the screen goes black. When the tablet is attached to my pc I noticed that the tablet is not turned off but booted in APX-mode.

These are the things I've tried:

• Installing the recovery image 4.2 (fails)
• Installing the recovery image 4.1 (fails)
• Installing the recovery image 4.0.1 (fails)
• Installing the recovery image 3.1.1 (works)
• Installing several full and incremental OTA updates to 4.x (fails)
• Installing CM 13.0 (fails)
• Installing carbon 5.1.1 (works)
• Followed the guides mentioned in topics: http://ift.tt/2c3fWNj and http://ift.tt/1R1rUpe (fails)

I've tried a lot of things, but now I'm out of ideas.

Has anyone a explanation why MM-based roms don't want to boot on my tablet? And has the knowledge to fix this?

Samsung Note 7 - About Changing Boot Animation

Hello everyone,
Hope Everyone is great...
I have always made Cool Boot Animations of my own and replaced them under '/system/media/' ...

After Rooting my SM-N930FD, my first destination was to explore that path as I hate the bright white Samsung Boot Animation...
This time there is no bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg...

There are 3 different boot animation - not sure why but my guess would be depending on the phone settings:
1. crypt_bootsamsung.qmg, crypt_bootsamsungloop.qmg <--- No clue
2.black_bootsamsung.qmg, black_bootsamsungloop.qmg <--- This is black with samsung logo
3.white_bootsamsung.qmg, white_bootsamsungloop.qmg <--- This is white with samsung logo
and 2 shutdown animations:
1.shutdown.qmg <--- This is black with samsung logo
2.shutdown_WH.qmg <--- This is white with samsung logo

in my case I replace the white boot animation by renaming the bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, shutdown.qmg to white_bootsamsung.qmg, white_bootsamsungloop.qmg, shutdown_WH.qmg
set permissions to 644 or rw-r--r--...

Changing the poweron.ogg sound is still located at '/system/media/audio/ui/' ...
I hope this thread will be useful...

I am thinking of accepting boot animations requests for Note 7, I'll set up a poll and see how it goes....

My M9S-Pro finally arrived. It's a modest AmLogic S905 chip with a Mali-450, notably only because it has Ethernet, three USB ports, 3 GB of RAM and a 32 GB ROM.

My kids use the Nexus Player as a gaming device, but I am constantly running out of space even with Marshmallow's USB space reallocation (which does not work perfectly by any means). I bought this hoping to replace the Nexus Player which only has 8GB (+ whatever Marshmallow offers, and whatever some apps will allow transfer to external storage).

Right off the bat, it boots quickly and is stable. It included Kodi, some generic TV streamer with pay TV streams in foreign languages, a file manager, Antutu, various video players, and Netflix. The USB port puts out enough current to power an external 2.5" HDD.

Antutu score is 31,300 if that matters to you.

I found a version of TWRP that worked great and I rooted this by flashing the same beta-SuperSU as I used on my Nexus Player.

It uses an IR remote with shortcuts to different apps and a mouse function. It's slow but usable. I use it with an airmouse with a better experience.

I am running HAL Launcher which is just about the best experience you can hope for with a Chinese box. I also added the keylist for the Bluetooth controllers from the OUYA that I had years ago, and my kids use it for a gaming box.

It's a good value for me, but if you use Android TV boxes for streaming only you don't need the space and should probably get a cheaper box - maybe one running 6.0+ so it supports the latest version of Kodi.

Lollipop Non-Butchered Smart Select on MM?

So, I found out that smart select is absolutely butchered in 6.0.1, and is nothing more than a glorified screenshot app.

Is there any way to get the 5.1.1 SS, where you could actually extract text out of anything, in 6.0.1?

Absolutely disgusted with Samsung for removing such an amazing feature, after waiting almost a year for this "upgrade"

Google app small text scaling and display issue

For some reason, my Google app is showing up search results with tiny text and it's not allowing me to see the first result because it is cut off and won't let me scroll up any higher... See the screenshot. This happens regardless of how I launch it (Google Now on Tap or the Google app).

I haven't changed any display scaling or anything like that and it doesn't appear as a problem anywhere else. It is only in the search results section of the Google app.

Any suggestions? Thanks?

Today i write how restore locked bootloader on mate7 on 4.4.2 , 5.1.1 and 6.0 rom

What we need :

1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Root

6. Your Unlock code to your bootloader
7. Fx Explorer.

9. Downgrade pack b500 for downgrade from 6.0 to 5.1.1
10. Downgrade pack b300 for downgade from 5.1.1 to 4.4.2
11. Twrp Backup your firmware you have now installed
12. All firmware for your device

And patience

What we must do first???

First we must downgrade from 6.0 if you have on your mt7 to 5.1.1

How do it???

Here i write how i do it :

1. I have b571 instaled and rooted
2. Downloaded custom.bin and oeminfo we copy to :
- Oeminfo copy to System(root)/dev/block/platform/hi_mci0/by-name and overwrite
- Custom.bin copy to System(root) /data and overwrite and set permission to 0775
3. Go back to System(root) and push search and write recovery ( it take some time to search )
4. When its finish you see folder recovery and open in new window
5. When it's open you see log and now you must delete this file
6. Now go to System(root)/data/system/dropbox and open ( delete all file in side )
7. Now go to System(root)/log/log-services and delete all folder
8. Open SrkTool via Administrator and go to unlock bootloader
9. When you unlock use Mobopx tool to flash stock recovery
10. When it's finish go to SuperSu and do it full unroot
11. Copy B500 update.app to dload in internal sdcard and flash using 3 bottom method
12. When you Have now B500 flash latest 5.1.1 and flash
13. Copy B300 update.app to dload in internal sdcard and flash using 3 bottom method
14. When you Have now B300 flash latest 4.4.2 and flash
15. When you have now latest 4.4.2 (in my case it's B137sp03) download first 4.4.2 for your mate7
16. When you download copy update.app to dload in internal sdcard and flash ( in my case it's b120sp04 )
17. When we have first 4.4.2 go to setting and then backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to.
18. When its boot go to setting/about phone and push 7 time on bulid number and go to developers option ( enable usb debugging )
19. Now open SrkTool and relock your bootloader
20 . When you have relocked we can go to next step

How change relock to locked bootloader

1. Open Dc Unlocker and create new count ( you must buy 4 credits )
2. When you have active your count open HCU Client and log there
3. When you login you has connect to server.
4. Now go to dialpad in your mate7 and write this code *#*#2846579#*#* push 1 and 2 ( change to Manufacture Mode and plug mate7 to your pc via usb cable )
5. In Hcu push Read Phone and when its connected go to unlock and push Lock Bootloader its take 1 min
6. When it's finish change Manufacture Mode to Hisuite Mode
7. Now go to SrkTool and push 7 then 5 and your phone go to fastboot mode and you see you have locked bootloader.

How Lock bootloader on latest full 6.0

1. When you have locked bootloader on your first 4.4.2 update to latest 4.4.2 using ota update
2. When it's Upodate you must unlock bootloade, reboot device, relock bootloader and lock bootloader (go to setting and then backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to.)
3. Now Flash latest 5.1.1 and do it that same unlock bootloade, reboot device, relock bootloader and lock bootloader (go to setting and then backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to.)
4. Now Flash first 6.0 full rom and do it that same unlock bootloade, reboot device, relock bootloader and lock bootloader
(go to setting and then backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to.)
5. Update to last 6.0 using Ota update and do it that same unlock bootloade, reboot device, relock bootloader and lock bootloader (go to setting and then backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to.)


Why we must unlock bootloader, relock and lock after full update rom???

Because all firmware have diffrent data formate in rom. When you lock bootloader all this information go to sevice when you use HCU Client.

If you want lock bootloader on 6.0 you must flash first Marshmallow (in my case it's B522 ) and do it format using backup & reset and do it factory data reset and internal memory to. Now you can relock first Marshmallow and update to last firmware and send your device to huawei services. Your warranty it's back and they repair your device

I have a cricket sim card (in an adapter - nano >standard) in an Incredible 2.

The phone is unlocked.

When I put the sim card in, in both global and GSM mode, I get an error of an invalid sim and it won't let me edit the GSM settings or apn.

Has anyone done this? I just need a phone for the time being. I'm using the sim card in a different phone to type and post this, so I know the sim card is good and active.

Any ideas help? Phone is stock 2.3.4

Media server Battery drain

Hey guys, im currently using the exynos variant of the note 7. I've faced significant battery drain and have already trained the clear cache and factory reset method. Getting better battery life but found out that Media Server is still draining my battery. I have tried disabling chrome, unmounting and removing the sd card, I cant find media server in my applications to force stop it. So i really have no idea what to do next, media server is still the highest running on my battery usage. Anyone else facing the same problem? Any idea what to do?

Huawei P8 GRA-L09 (New Zealand) NO OS

Hi I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place please direct me to where to go if it is.

My problem is I have a Huawei p8 with no os on it what so ever it has twrp and that's it. I have spent hours trying to read and find a working stock or even custom rom for the phone. The only ROM that seems to be able to be flashed is from fromFuture but when I flashed it through twrp it said success and then was still in boot loop. I really don't know what to do please help. Current Root Method?

Hey guys, I got a used TB that I need to flash 4.04 onto for testing an app. It's a used Verizon device running 2.2.1 that is completely stock. Seems Revolutionary is dead and I can't find a clear way to get to 4.0.4. I don't have an active sim so I can't go that route. So what are my options? Also, can I go into Verizon and have them throw a SIM in?

Best HDMI dongle for screen casting (non-chromecast)?

Hey guys.

I have an hdmi port in my car which hooks up to my oem display. I also have power next to the port so I can power any 12v device.

I used to use a chrome cast with my HTC M8 but that required a screen casting quick setting as casting through the app was not possible when using mobile Hotspot. The whole setup was also very taxing on the phone, and the chrome cast and mobile Hotspot didn't work well together quite often.

So now with the Note 7, what would be my best option for an hdmi dongle that supports direct screen casting? Should I get a miracast device such as a roku stick? I really don't need any more functionality aside from the screen mirroring feature.

recovery is not seandroid enforcing

hi guys
i have a big problem i would really appreciate your help
i tried to root my S5 duos G900FD with CF-Auto-Root but it didn't work even though odin give me pass
now i get this massage recovery is not seandroid enforcing and the worst part here
is i can't get to download mode so i can't flash stock rom to fix it
the irony is when i used the file for G900F it worked fine :mad::mad::mad::(

[Need Help] ZE551ML Bootloop and No Fastboot

So, recently I tried to use this ROM: http://ift.tt/2bDOy94

after revert back from CM13 custom ROM: http://ift.tt/1T9KNX7

But the result is my phone stuck in Asus logo.

Tried to access recovery by pressing power button + volume up but cannot go into recovery.
Tried to connect phone to PC via USB cable but the phone is not detected (cannot try fastboot from PC).

Here is what I did before my phone bricked:
1. Reboot into recovery (I'm using TWRP)
2. Wipe everything except MicroSD
3. Install SuperSU (downloaded from the thread)
4. Install ROM v168 (downloaded from the thread)
5. Reboot system

After that my phone stuck in Asus logo.

Tried to search solution from many sources still no luck. Already posted in the thread but still no answer from anyone.
Please help because I don't have backup phone :crying:
