Digiland tab Dl718m root issue

Hey guys. First post. Serious question. I've spent time on XDA doing research on flashing and rooting. I have A Digiland tab Dl718m kernal 3.10.72 board mt8127 7in screen. I saw posts about kingroot 485 being successful. Then running SuperSU me pro. I have all these apps. I'm skeptical about using them. I can't get to a desktop at the moment. I'm running a terminal emulator but I have no permissions to do anything. . there's no rwx permissions on many directories. Sudo and su don't work. Chmod is restricted. No vi or vim. I have only a handful of commands I can execute. Android is a hell of an os. I would rather gain access to root using shell. But my terminal is crippled. Any ideas? Also I'd like to find a ROM in case I need to flash it with phionex later.

One !more thing. Is it possible to link two android devices and have one flash the other? Is there anyway to do it not using a PC? Thanks guys. BTW XDA is cutting edge. F
